Robotics Summer Camp
Vatebra Tech Hub launched its first Robotics Summer Program which was created as an opportunity to train young students and create potential impact to drive digital capacity development as part of our goal.
They were taught the basics of robotics and were able to build robots using the LEGO Mindstorm kit and Tetris kit. They were also able to program the robots that they built using the LEGO Ev3 brain and micro controllers such as Arduino and Tetris Pulse. At the end of the program the students were given the task to build a robot that will solve a problem in Nigeria. The following robots were built by them;
The Grim Gripper
This robot was built using the Tetrix kit and programmed using the Tetrix Pulse micro controller. The primary function of the robot is to pick up trash.
The Messenger Bot
This robot was built using the Tetrix kit and programmed using the Tetrix Pulse micro controller. The primary function of this robot is to transport objects from place to place along a predetermined path.
The Agro Bot
This robot was also built using the Tetrix kit and programmed using the Tetrix Pulse micro controller. The primary function of the robot is to plant seeds into the ground.
The Stair Climber
This robot was built using the LEGO Mindstorm kit and programmed using the LEGO EV3 brain. The primary function of the robot is to climb stairs.
